Introduction
It's always nice to have time to get away from work routine and enjoy some time with family. Such is the case this Chinese New Year where we had some time to go on a holiday to Janda Baik with our extended family.
Location wise, Janda Baik is uphill from Kampung Bukit Tinggi. At Kampung Bukit Tinggi we can find lots of restaurants serving sumptuous food as well as stalls selling fresh vegetables and fruits. The village supplies a lot of fresh produce and supplies them to Klang Valley area.
Janda Baik
We stayed at the Happy Paradise Resort in Janda Baik. The resort has a large compound with many different types chalets which can accommodate groups of different sizes.
Since pictures can tell thousands of words, I'll let the photos do the story telling.
Note: We had a bad experience booking this resort. After paying down payment we were told that the rental has increased from 350 per night to 450 per night. It was very unprofessional but we had no choice as itsi close to Chinese New Year and difficult to find an alternative. The staff working on our booking was also not friendly nor helpful.

Apart from the animals shown above there is also a mini-zoo for kids and adults alike to enjoy. During the time we were there, we witnessed the animals there being treated with tender loving care. Their cages are cleaned and the animals are bathed daily.

Visitors are allowed to handle small monkeys and kids can't resist when they see the cute baby monkeys |

Visitors can enter the rabbit cage to feed and pat them. |

There are also horses here but they are kept separately for safety reason |
A visit to Janda Baik won't be complete if we do not go to Pulau Santap where 2 rivers meet. It's not actually an island anymore but according to the story it used to be an island there. There are lots of people enjoying the cool water of the rivers.
Kampung Bukit Tinggi
This is an interesting village with small hilly roads, restaurants, vegetable farms, wooden houses, schools and a temple. You can't miss it from Karak Highway as it is situated on both sides of the highway. One side can be assessed from the other by using an underpass.
Food here is not cheap. It is the same price as KL but then again it is a tourist spot. Some of the restaurants feature gardens of their own with vegetables and fruits.
There is a temple here overlooking the Karak Highway. Quite an interesting piece of architecture
